Quiz question: who was the Britain’s worst prime Minister?

I’ll give you a clue: he was educated at both Eton and Oxford.

The answer is Sir Anthony Eden.

In a BBC poll in 1999,  prominent historians, politicians and commentators were asked to rank the 19 prime ministers from Lord Salisbury at the turn of the 20th-century through to John Major in the 1990s.

Eden came last, his downfall was the Suez crisis, for which he was accused of lying to Parliament. In December 1956. he addressed the 1922 Committee declaring “as long as I live, I shall never apologise for what we did”.
