More Devil’s work

The devil works hard so they say, but he doesn’t seem to be very good at any of his whimsical, crackpot schemes.

And then there’s Whitby, or rather the folk’s sanctimonious attitude. The Devil took umbrage with them and decided to bury the town. At his Punchbowl — better known today as the Hole of Horcum — he scooped out a huge clod of earth and threw it at Whitby.
