Greek garden temple, Clumber Park

A trip to Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire had become an annual event¹For previous trips see here http://www.fhithich.uk/?s=clumber; to catch up and exchange presents with my sister, that is, until last year when we decided not to, following the Government’s rules about mixing of households and travelling outside your area.

Once the country estate of the Duke of Newcastle, Clumber Hall itself was demolished in 1938 with the park being acquired by the National Trust in 1946.

One of the historic buildings that has been preserved is this Greek garden temple, seen here reflected in the lake.
